Does anyone else use Webflow for their marketing pages?
I've spent a good amount of experimenting with Webflow before actually launching anything I built, but that changed today. After revamping all of my marketing pages in under a month of working in the evenings, I finally got it to a state that I wanted it to be.
And my god, it was so much faster than anything else I've ever worked with. I've played around with static HTML / CSS, building things out in Gatsby, website builders like Wix, etc.
But none of them actually allowed me to visually build as fast as I could with Webflow. I'm honestly amazed.
Has anyone else used Webflow to build their pages / products?
And in case anyone is interested, feel free to check out my site over here:
I love Webflow! I built all the marketing pages for usebolt.io on it. I think it's a fantastic tool, in particular for designers; as a designer, Webflow has empowered me to turn my PSD/Sketch files into live, interactive and animated websites without needing to code.
There's a learning curve, but that's the same with anything in this domain. I think some people give up on Webflow because they expect it to be a super easy Wix / Squarespace tool, but that's definitely not the case.
Webflow is also great because it helps free up precious development resources. Instead of adding to a developer's to-do, designers and marketers are able to jump into the designer, make necessary changes / updates and publish live. They can split test, tweak designs and spin up new pages without needing to talk to a developer. That's huge for a lot of companies.
That's not to say that it's for everyone - if you're a developer, it might make sense to code using a template / from scratch, everyone has a different preference, and Webflow isn't 100% perfect, but that's the nature of software - ever evolving, ever improving...
Makes sense looks like you're a designer :)
I spoke to a lot of founders, developers and marketers who struggled with it.
The billing is super confusing as well.
But it has a great hype machine and designers will recommend it to anyone.
The same with Wordpress developers recommending WP to anyone.
Our team was with Webflow for about 2 years but then it didn't give us enough flexibility, so we opted for another way to build websites
I'm actually just toying with the idea of using it for a blog(ish) platform.
That banner on the bottom is sweeeet btw.
I thought about it when I was launching the new website for https://bullish.email but eventually decided to just buy a template and customize it to my needs without a recurring fee.
