Anyone using Elementor: how do you find the page designer?
I decided to use the free Elementor wordpress plugin to build my landing page, in conjunction with WPForms Lite for the sign-up. I'm new to both, and I'm an infrequent use of wordpress - setting up a blog is my extent of WP knowledge.
I'm finding the Elementor page designer to be very slow to respond. Drag-and-drop to specific areas takes multiple attempts. Saving changes such as colors within sections often doesn't "stick" until I clear cache (as per Elementor advice). Once when I cleared cache, I couldn't open the page at all until I restarted the browser.
Is this normal? I'd appreciate feedback from anyone else using this.
I'm on shared hosting, if that's relevant.
It's pretty versatile plus has many integrations. What browser are you using?
I find it pretty snappy compared to others. Do you have any content on the page that might take up a lot of resources?
Thanks - I needed to hear if someone else found it snappy. Now I'll zero in on my content wrt resources - you've encouraged me to dig deeper before ditching it.

Also check out what base theme you're using, that might make it laggy as well. I'm usually using their Hello theme. ;)
If it's landing pages with sign up forms, I'd go with Carrd. Super simple and intuitive interface, super fast, and very good value for money.
Or static sites are a good alternative too. I'd been dabbling with Stackbit and it builds a fast and secure static site with a CMS in minutes, without coding. Free hosting too.
