APIs to manage user credits / wallets?
Many platforms are using in-app balances and currencies to handle service payments. I was wondering whether there's a good API for that, possibly hooking directly into Stripe?
- Turning payments into credits/tokens
- API endpoints to subtract/add tokens and see current balance
- Possibly way to pay out tokens again
I'd suggest that you check this from a legal point of view. If you are accepting deposits from over 20 clients you might require a FINMA authorisation. However, funds which constitute payment under a service contract or which are transferred as security are not considered to be deposits. I would clarify with FINMA how the payout of tokens is to be made and whether you are subject to the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. Yeah, scrapping the payout probably, saw that in the Stripe terms as well 😅 Just interested in the "turning money into service tokens" part. E.g. 1 token = 1 keyword search, like some SEO tools are doing it.
