Hi guys,
me as a developer and indie hacker had an urge to build som tool that will help me to choose right keywords (mainly on App Store) for my apps based on data, as ASO tools are kind of expensive. So I build one.
Currently it is in form of open-source script at Github (https://github.com/fredybotas/app-keyword-explorer). The tool basically harvests keywords from any possible source (app metadata, reviews, suggestions, language models) and then it tries to rank them based on multiple criteria, see github for more detailed explanation.
There is also output example on word games app. I am currently evaluating it on my own apps.
What do you think of it? Any idea how to improve it? Would it be useful for you? Any feedback would be appreciated, also reach me out if you have any questions.
not to me but it can be useful. Take a look at seo tools use cases and add aso to it. e.g. search for the keywords of competeitors apps. Insight into key words of top ranking app etc. . Create a landing page and have a pretty dashboard(just the images for now) with all the metrics and share on different channels see if there is any interest? if you get few users pursue further else use it for yourself don't invest further time in it.
Right now with github and code only developers would be able to understand it who are not your market(may be they are a small fraction) real users are marketers make it to appeal to them.
