During the pandemic, I decided to take the free time to pick up a new skill. I decided to learn about SwiftUI, and NodeJS for a backend.
I figured it would be better to build the Lazy Jar precisely the way I wanted it. It took me about three months to get version 4.0 built. I made a trial submission to the app store, and it was approved for the app store. But a month later, when I wanted to make the final submission, it was rejected.
Why? Because apparently, the activity dials in the newly designed "mimicked" the Apple Watch activity rings. At any rate, I figured it'd be quicker to avoid contesting the rejection, and so I spent a day redesigning the offending part of the app. And I have to say, it ended up working out in my favor. The newer design definitely looks better.

Apple is so obnoxious about their rejection policies. I've some battle wounds of submission to them! It really does depend on who you get reviewing it.
Kudos to battling through!
Thank you! And yes, it's just a matter of who you get to review your app. It's almost demoralizing how much a difference of opinion amongst reviewers can change the course of your app/business.
