April 2021 Income Report: $1,450.30 (-10.08%)

This month was slightly lower than last month's side project earnings. Here's are summary of things that were different about this month:

  • didn't touch Vim for VSCode (not much promotion besides the occasional tweet)
  • focused on TypeScript course (latest tweet)

Here's a breakdown of my side income:

  • $123.92 from @egghead-io royalties
  • $1,280.00 from Vim for VSCode course sales (before fees) on Convert Kit Commerce
  • $46.38 from Vim for VSCode course sales (before fees) on Flurly

Total: $1,450.30

Total (year-to-date): $6,917.88

Thanks @jsjoeio for sharing. Looks like a great month even though it's 10% down. Curious - how do you find Flurly compared to Gumroad or Convert Kit Commerce?

      Yeah! Not terrible.

I like that Flurly is built by a fellow indie hacker. It has its pros and cons. The founder is very open to feedback and usually quick to make adjustments when they can, which I like. I also like how Flurly has Purchase Power Parity built in.

If I write something up, I'll share with you. Otherwise happy to answer specific questions!
