Hello there!
often times when reading about starting projects you see the infamous "landing page". However, i always had my problems with that. Do users really sign up / subscribe to a written concept with some mockups?
To give some context: I'm an experienced developer myself without any marketing knowledge and i find it really hard to learn about it because "marketing is not working on me". I've never signed up to one of those landing pages to get informed if something is ready. I know that me != user but my bubble is the developer bubble and i have the feeling that marketing in this bubble is "not working".
TL;DR: Are "sign up to get notified when this project is ready" sites really working and i'm just in the wrong bubble to not see it?
yes, I got ~160 people on my Newsletter.
Do you mind sharing what the content of the page looked like? What did you provide to the users contentwise? Some text explaining your idea? Mockups of how the product should look like? I'd really appreciate if you could link me your page! :)
hey, man!
Sorry for the late response.
I know have a better UI, but basically, it was a simple page (https://join.pyhunt.com/), now it's a full MVP (https://www.pyhunt.com/)
One strategy: Keep it short (text) and the page simple, go to the point: a simple direct call-to-action button after a clear and concise explanation will help.
