Definition of a micro niche: A micro niche is a business offering that's highly specific.
I know about a few micro niches and I asking my self if its worth to put the effort in.
The biggest concern I have is, that in most of them they just not enough potential customers, to make a highly profitable business out of it.
And with highly profitable I mean 10k < gross profit.
Ofcourse, they are profitable. We covered 70+ Micro SaaS niches in depth with examples , data points, cost analysis.
Under these 70+ niches, there are about 800 profitable Micro SaaS Ideas that are making money.
I would look at what market(s) your niche is nested in. How many "layers" are there? Are you the most niche product in the funnel? What is the volume of those markets? Are there dense markets within the layers you can cater to?
Read a market research report. How big is your pool of customers?
What is the life of your product or revenue stream? Monthly? Yearly? Will your price support this?
Take my Blue Line Bookmarks business for example.
Market layers:
Stores in the US (many)
Publishers
Booksellers
Other(few)
If I sell my bookmarks in my barbershop(other), I’m targeting a small market at the bottom of the funnel. If I sell to a publisher, I’ve moved up the funnel.
If I advertise in a publisher newsletter I’ve found a density opportunity. How many of these exist in your market?
Food for thought,
