Are there any email campaign tools that can have the same person in the same workflow more than once?

I have a problem. I need an email marketing automation but one that allows the same person to be in the same workflow, more than once. As a simplified example, imagine you have two pets, let's call them Ren and Stimpy. You should be receiving two emails, one for each, on each of their birthdays, or other important dates (vaccination, renewals, etc). Are there any tools that can do that?

You might be able to do this with customer.io (using segments) depending on how your data is structured.

Thank you. Does customer.io allow you to store the same person more than once? or have a repeated piece of information (such as Johnny owns Ren and Johnny owns Stimpy). That's the limitation I'm finding with most of these tools.

I started playing with it, and I can't find how to store two pets for a single person in Customer.io.

To answer your first question: a simple approach would be to create a custom variable for a predetermined number of pets (pet1, pet2, pet3, etc.). In this case, you could then send separate emails for each pet.

Admittedly, I’ve only done this type of additional data through the integration with Segment so don’t know how to create custom attributes directly within the UI offhand. I’ll take a look and let you know what I find.

We considered this approach, but that means having these variables:
pet1_name, pet1_birthday, pet2_name, pet2_birthday (in reality, in our model, we would have around 10 or so variables per pet), and so far, in our database, we have people with up to 40 pets. That means we have 400 variables.

Furthermore, it means having 40 automations, each using an almost identical email. Automation 1, triggered on pet1_birthday, saying "Happy birthday {{pet1_name}}" and so on.

Sadly this appreach breaks down quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a lower limit than 400 fields/variables on the list.
