Are we building in a tech bubble? The $300B warning sign

It feels like everyone on my timeline is either raising an AI seed round at a crazy valuation or throwing money into mega-cap tech stocks. The broader market keeps pushing higher, but the actual data behind the scenes is painting a very different picture.

If you look at the recent 13F filings for Buffett new stocks, the most interesting takeaway isn't what Berkshire is buying—it's what they are relentlessly dumping. They’ve been offloading massive chunks of foundational tech hardware like Apple to build a historic $300B+ cash fortress in short-term T-bills.

When the most successful capital allocator in history decides that sitting on a mountain of cash is better than holding the world's top tech companies, it’s a glaring red flag for tech valuations.

For us as indie hackers, I honestly see this as massive validation for the bootstrapping path. While the VC and public markets play musical chairs with inflated paper valuations, focusing on real revenue, profitability, and sustainable cash-flowing micro-SaaS feels like the absolute safest place to be right now.

Does this macro environment change how you guys are thinking about your current projects? Are you keeping your cash reserves higher than usual, or just keeping your head down and ignoring the market noise? Would love to hear your thoughts.
