Are you a developer and procrastinating on creating your portfolio + blogging site?

Hey there,

I developed a template out of my personal website at https://karngyan.com for other developers who are procrastinating on creating their portfolio site. They can showcase their projects, write blogs all in developer friendly markdown and configure the entire website from one config file.

They can also showcase their github contributions on the homepage in a beautiful heatmap.

If you need comments/likes on your blog/project, you can integrate firebase auth and firestore in may be 5 minutes.

It's a dark themed, SEO friendly: Nuxt Content + TailwindCSS + Firebase + i18n based SPA for developers.

Check it out here: https://github.com/karngyan/karngyan.com

Great work. We are also developing an MVP based on market trends.

That's actually a cool design. I like the integration of the Github graph.

That said, I find the typography pretty hard to read. I'd maybe try to improve that a bit.

I felt the same with Poppins, was looking for the closest free alternative to stripe's sohne-var (let me know if you know one)

Well changed it to Inter var. I hope it's better to read now. https://template.karngyan.com

        Inter is pretty readable, but

        1. Typography is not just font choice. It's also color choice, contrast, font size, etc. Still lots of ways for improvement imo. "Refactoring UI" contains awesome advice on that.
        2. Sans-serif fonts can be hard to read for long-form text. I'd play around with serif fonts for the blog posts.

Ah makes a lot of sense. I'll start playing around.

Enjoy! And I do recommend “Refactoring UI”, even at its high price point. It’s awesome!
