Something tells me indie hacking has a way of attracting productivity addicts. According to this article, "Dr Mark Griffiths estimates the prevalence of work addiction in the United States to be around 10%, mentioning some estimates as high as 15% to 25%." I know I find myself struggling with this. I'm plagued by a constant fear of "wasting my time." Who else find themselves here...anyone got any great coping strategies?

Thank you so much for sharing, Fleur! I do agree IH probably has a higher ratio of productivity addicts compared to the general population. It's common for founders to tie their self-worth to their work, which leads to unhealthy work patterns and sometimes burnout. I love @Silvio_SF's suggestion of noticing other sources of meaning in your life (relationships, hobbies, interests that are not directly relevant to your work...)

nice share! and great write up by @anthilemoon. 🙌 I know I've personally just begun to wake up to the way capitalism brain washes us into believing all of our worth is tied to production. it was a huge red flag for me when I was unable to work for a week and I literally felt that my life had no purpose. but even with this awareness I find it so hard to change my thoughts/habits. one small thing that's helped me though has been noticing what else in my life feels meaningful and trying to put more of my attention there.
