Did you check RapidAPI, they are the ones who help manage API's.
I've looked into RapidAPI. They seem focused on the usage side of APIs, while I want to help people on the development side. Specifically, I want to make it dead simple to set up authentication and rate limiting on your own public APIs.
We built and maintain and internal/external REST api we use for our news site on the front end and a custom CMS to manage the content on the backend. Would be glad to chat!
