Are you fed up with short-term, disappointing partnerships on with freelancers on Fiver or Upwork?

If you're a solo founder or founder of a small company: Would being able to hire a university student or recent graduate for remote freelance work solve any problems you face? I.e free up your time to focus on the more important tasks when it comes to building

A potential scenario:

You hire a remote intern from a high-ranking UK university for 5 hours a week, who is hardworking, driven, innovative and curious and over the course of 8-12 weeks, they grow with you and doorbell and you decide to hire them. (Of course it may not be this smooth sailing, as life isn't always this way haha but this is a possibility and does happen with summer internships etc)

Would this be a viable alternative to hiring freelancers from Upwork or Fiverr? I know a potential objection may be that uni students or graduates lack the experience so I'm thinking it would be entry-level tasks to begin with.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts - thank you :)
