Are you hopping on the print content marketing trend?

I was chatting with Studio 96 founder Aya Abitbul a few weeks ago, and she told me that people in Brooklyn were passing around a mailer for a grocery delivery service.

Why?

Because it had a referral discount code people could scan.

And people were scanning.

That's just one example of what Abitbul said is a coming renaissance of print marketing. Abitbul should know. She's the former editor of Bespoke Luxury magazine and her company, Studio 96, published the first augmented reality travel book earlier in 2021.

She thinks that print is the future of content marketing, and since we talked, I've heard similar things from other marketers. It makes sense — paid social ads are getting less trackable and more expensive, email marketing is becoming harder to measure, and it feels like customers are getting more and more overwhelmed by digital communication.

But isn't print even harder to measure than digital marketing?

Not when you use augmented reality and scans to make it trackable.

Abitbul shared three tips for combining augmented reality and print content marketing.
