To those solo builders. Do you hide the fact your business/product is ran by just one person? For example using the words "we" or "our team" etc.
Does being up-front about being a one-person operation instill trust in your potential customers or hinder it?
I am leaning into being honest and open. In the long run this surely will pay off. Besides, "Wow, a single person built this?" is a bonus.
Don’t do that, turn it into a marketing advantage instead with a great about page that tells your story. People love buying from other people.
I guess you align your copy with the personality of the product/brand you are trying to project.
That being said, I steer clear of one-person operation if its a critical piece of infrastructure or if I find a technical misinterpretation. For eg: Someone I know, reports the status code for a timeout (it can't have a status code when client times out), so I don't trust the maths they do in their product knowing they are the sole creator.
