Are You Profitable This Month?

It's the last full week of September.

Bootstrappers, Indiehackers, business-ers, have you made enough money to cover your server costs and then pocket a little bit?

Raise the roof!

Comment below with a money emoji!

And consider spending $19 on our fellow IndieHacker Jade's press directory for bootstrappers. Because we know we don't have the cash to spend $100 a day on FB Ads, or Google Ads, or any Ads.

Press is usually free. Just gotta find the right contact and tell your story.

Jade did the hard work of cultivating links descriptions and contact info from podcasts, content sites, and more that will actually want to tell your story.

Tell the story of being self funded, bootstrapped. Making MRR and making a product we believe in from start to finish.

Sure there's new outlets like Bootstrappers .com, starterstory .com and TheyGotAcquired .com but there's also newsletters, and podcasts that actually want to hear from you.

Even if you can't buy it now, RT the tweet about it.

    Awesome resource! Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I'm profitable this month! Still hoping for a few more deals this month, too.

      Congrats! abso-lutely awesome.

Yup! Also moved from Mailgun to AWS SES which cut one of my biggest costs for Leapfrog Leads.

Cutting costs relieves so much stress! It's one way to battle churn, and to increase your margins. ..... or are you looking to reinvest the savings into more growth?

Curious what you mean about churn?

But kept everything in the business so far, need to decide what's actually the best thing to put it into e.g. get someone to write some SEO, or pay for ads, or...etc.

Yes, but it's thanks to contract work. The contract work is business income, and keeps the lights on. However, it does slow down progress on my own projects.

gotta keep those lights on! it's all good.
