Are you using bubble (or similar)?
Im asking myself how many of you are actually really using bubble or something similar to achieve their goals.
Is it working for you? Are you able to realize your projects with these builders?
What did you actually build, how easy or difficult was it and what were your problems?
What do you love / hate about these tools?
Not similar to Bubble. But building Flezr for creating data-driven websites from Google Sheets and Supabase data scources.

was just wondering this myself. I'm still unclear if I should get good at coding sites from scratch or if I'd mostly just be reinventing the wheel and wasting time when I could be using 'builders' to do the heavy lifting for me.
Hey, I personally prefer bubble since it's far more capable compared to other no-code tools. The only thing I wasn't able to build entirely on bubble is my current startup which uses complex UI - the backend is hosted externally, Frontend still with bubble.
One of my startups built fully built on bubble managed even to get #1 on PH.
Keep on mind though, learning curve is much steeper compared to other no-code solutions.

I had to shut it down eventually since infrastructure got too expensive.
I think it's up to you if you want to test something new in the tech world. Personally, I don't use no-code solutions, BUT I think you must try them, especially if you are going to build prototypes or small-scale applications.
I personally find Bubble super complicated to use. The steep learning curve isn't much different compared to learning and coding Python.

I was playing around and tried a landing page for example, but i can't imagine using it for more complex projects. Whats your take on this?
I would not use it for a simple landing page (I would rely more on Webflow or the many tools out there that are much simpler to use). For more complex projects, it depends on what you mean... Some companies build great MVPs with bubble and then move away as they scale; the main limitation is the hosting. Honestly didn't have a fantastic UI experience while using it, but I'm sure once you get used to it, a lot can be done. depending what you mean by complex projects, we are actually building a low-code solution for components in customer-facing dashboards / portals. Can you explain what the exact use case for formity is?
I mean i see what you wrote, building dashboards and portals with low code, but isn't bubble also suitable for that?
Or is your value prop the integration of existing infrastructure, e.g. as you write on your page integrating own backend and db?

It's exactly what you said. We are building a solution where developers don't have to rely on our hosting, db and backend but rather use their existing stack and have no limitations on these aspects. With bubble you are limited to being fully hosted by them and as you grow / scale that can be very challenging. We propose instead a solution where you can simply embed elements that are not the core product (e.g. forms, BI analytics, surveys, tables etc) that you might want to iterate often. You could imagine building basically the entirety of your customer-facing portal with components from formity. At the moment we are actually offering a white glove solution where we build everything with you so we better learn what's needed
