Are you watching webinars?

Would be great to know what you folks think about this.

My opinion?

I'll vote and share it below ๐Ÿ‘‡

Best part of a webinar is a link with the recording in your inbox so you can watch whenever

that never happens most of the times ๐Ÿ˜„ I simply lose/forget the webinar all the times

I don't watch webinars for the same reason why I don't watch video courses.

I like edited down content better than wasting time with live, especially webinars that usually have 5-20 minutes setups...
I'm probably an outlier watching 99% of the stuff on double speed, so it's already a drag down with live stuff that I can't do that so it's consuming double time, and usually it's less thought/planned out, making it slower, less specific, less dense, just consumes more time for way less benefits generally
I do watch some recorded ones if they are exceptional for some reason

I don't know if you'd count it but I've been to a Tony Robbines live zoom event, which they do live sports and group sessions and stuff which give it more dept
And have been with a friend doing like a live Yoga session
But these differ in some way from a normal 'webinar' I guess around participation, so maybe if it's a lab thing it's more interesting than just the watch a slow youtube feel

I know some people do like live, interactive, especially when someone calls their name and/or question and such, but I'm just more introverted and not motivated by that.
I do have a feeling that live stuff does get generally more attention than just static vids for specific cases... same time zone, "VIP" status, like has a following, has some interactivity, creates some social around it...

hey @hatkyinc thanks for the elaborated comment, it's quite informative!
I agree with all you said, especially on watching a recorded one if you know for sure it will be great. If that is not sure, better watch shorter and more concise videos.

I voted "I would, but is hard to find quality ones"

I like the idea of webinars, especially for tech stuff. More longer and quality content gives a great value, and is great to interact with the speaker if I can watch it live.

The only problem of this is quality. I've been investing something like 1 hours in some webinars for something I already knew or quality was not at the expected level. For example, participating in a webinar about Angular pro patterns which gave really basic tips.

That was a bit frustrating, so most of the time I go for short content doubling its speed ๐Ÿ˜
