Hi everyone!
I’m currently creating a roundup of cool resources and tools that would be useful to developers. I love covering the work of fellow indie makers, and would love to include any new tools and resources in my latest blog post.
You can see an example of my Tailwind resources blog post here, to see what the expected format of the blog post will be.
Just drop a comment below if you’d like your tool to be considered for inclusion in the post.
Really looking forward to hearing from you 🤩
I'm developing Katnip, which is a full stack framework: https://katnip.tech/
Also, here is a video presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Gfxhi2VEE
The background is that I have used WordPress in the past, but I would like to switch over to Node.js and React. Having tried the frameworks out there, I haven't found anything that is like "WordPress but for Node.js", so started hacking on it myself...
I just released https://www.dashboardauth.com/ that allows you to basically take a retool or streamlit dashboard and make it "external" (ie support user accounts)
UIlicious (https://uilicious.com) - Think of it as CodePen, but for testing websites. UIlicious is an online tool to write and run automated UI tests for your websites across browsers and resolutions. A free no-signup lite edition is available here at https://snippet.uilicious.com, which allows you to write and run simple tests for your website on Chrome.
@shiling This looks like an amazing tool, thanks very much for letting me know about this! As a developer, I'd find this very useful for creating automated tests.
I'd love to include this in the article, and will let you know when it's published :D
I'm glad you find it useful! Looking forward to your article!

you log in, add the links you want to show up in your universal navbar, then drop a js snippet into your site.
https://navbarlinks.com/

Hi @silvi, I am building UXWizz - self-hosted website analytics platform, I think most developers have at least one website and they usually need some sort of analytics for it. Also, many indie-hackers are selling stuff and have landing pages that they want to improve the conversion rate for, that's when the advanced features like heatmaps, session recordings or events come into play.
@xcs Hi Cristian, thanks again for mentioning your analytics platform, UXWizz! I've just included it in the article here: https://www.isotopeui.com/post/web-dev-resources
I've also included it in my roundup of useful frontend resources also: https://www.isotopeui.com/resources/frontend-resources-tools
This will be very useful to those looking for an analytics solution, especially those that don't want to rely on 3rd party analytics. Thanks again!

Wow! I'm really glad to have discovered UXWizz, I've been looking for a web analytics solution, and I love that this is self-hosted too :D
Going to include this in the article, thank you 🤩
Hey @silvi,
I've been building DBSnapper which speeds up software development with sanitized database snapshots of your production data.
DBSnapper eliminates the need to write brittle development and test fixtures to simulate your data and provides an easy way to backup and restore databases and store them in Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2.
https://dbsnapper.com/
@scharfnado Hi Joe! The article has been published, and I've included DBSnapper in the list! Here's a link: https://www.isotopeui.com/post/web-dev-resources

Hi Joe,
Thanks very much! I'd love to include DBSnapper in the article 🤩 I'll let you know when the article is published too
StreamTest - free Google extensions for instant WebRTC testing. Basically it gives you a report out 7 parameters of a WebRTC stream straight away: frame rate, video/audio delay, packet loss, resolution, freezes, bitrate, and a/v codec.
We also posted a detailed instruction on how to use it (even though it turned out quite intuitive) and what each parameter indicates + how they're all calculated: https://forasoft.com/blog/article/how-to-test-webrtc-stream-quality-1231
Thanks very much! Would love to include this in the article also :D
https://otpfy.com ✨ OTPfy lets you setup 2-Factor Authentication for your business in minutes. Scan a QR code, get a one-time password you verify with a REST call to us. We have a full development environment which is absolutely free and then we have the production environment which is pay-as-you-go which is great for small startups and also for big companies!
If you have any questions or concerns please, don’t hesitate to reach to me on my twitter or OTPfy’s twitter, I’d be glad go help and we would love to get featured as a great tool/product for developers 💚

Yes, I'm a co-founder of the BCMS, a self-hosted, Headless CMS.
There are currently around 200 users worldwide using it in production.
Developers use it to let their clients edit content on Next.js, Gatsby and Nuxt websites.

Hey Silvi, my thing is not strictly aimed at developers, but most of my users are technical, so it should be relevant. It's called nuTab and it's a browser addon that replaces your new tab with a clean, fast, and private markdown notepad. Great for making quick notes and saving references. You can check it out on https://nutab.co.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Hi Tomas,
nuTab looks amazing, wow! I love how quick and easy it is to record thoughts and notes in markdown with this tool.
This would be very useful to so many developers, I can't wait to include it in the roundup! 🤩
Thank you! Can you please ping me when it's out? Would love to see other useful tools you curated.

Hey! I'm currently developing an AI rest API for developers who are creating AI apps or tools. We plan to launch with a Stable Diffusion and BLOOM (GPT-3 alternative) API first.
Still in development though. You can check my twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRealEtch and discord: https://discord.gg/DsJXxcMmkC for progress
Seeing your blog post, now I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for haha.
But I'm absolutely open for it being featured once we launch.
Hi Richard,
An API to help developers create AI apps sounds amazing, wow! I'm sure many developers would be interested in this. I'd love to include it when you launch 🚀🚀
Do let me know when it's ready to go, and wishing you all the very best with your launch :D
Thanks! I've just seen so many AI writing apps and art gen apps popping up recently and see GPT-3 hog all the glory (for good reason though).
So I wanted to see if open source AI has a place there, especially since GPT-3 is really restrictive with certain vulgar prompts.
Custom corpus fine tuning with LangChain, so as to have QnA within own data
Absolutely! Would love if you could include www.BlazeSQL.com
It's like ChatGPT for your SQL database. You can add your DB info and it generates your queries for you, but unlike other tools, it can take feedback or errors to fix queries with issues.
it can even make suggestions on what to analyze since it can understand your business needs!
