Are your backups working? Are you sure?

I've seen so many cases where backups have failed. The only time you realise they've failed is when you need them. It's truly a nightmare scenario.

I want to help people organise their backups better with BackupsHQ, a service to monitor, run, and provide insights into your backups.

It's made up of three parts:

• A tiny, open-source agent binary on your servers that wraps regular backup commands (pgdump, rsync, tar, etc) and reports the results.
• A dashboard to keep track of everything - job results and logs, alerts and incidents, agents running on your server fleet, etc.
• An API to send backup reports to, if you don't want to use the agent for whatever reason.
