Hey IH,
Momenul here. For the last few years, I've been deep in the marketing trenches with my project, SEOSiri. Like many of you, I wear multiple hats—founder, marketer, developer, content creator.
And like you, my feed has been flooded with AI. "Use this tool to 10x your output!" "AI is the future of growth!" "Automate everything!"
The hype is deafening.
But I noticed a huge problem: everyone was talking about tools, but nobody was talking about strategy. Founders and marketers are learning how to press the buttons on a dozen different AI apps, but they're struggling to connect those actions to real business growth—more traffic, more leads, more users.
Knowing how to generate an AI image is cool. Knowing how to build an AI-driven content strategy that actually ranks on Google and acquires customers is a real skill.
The Problem I Had to Solve
I realized there was no easy way for a founder, a freelancer, or even a professional marketer to answer a simple question: "Am I actually good at this?"
How do you benchmark your skills? How do you prove to a co-founder, a client, or yourself that you can move beyond the hype and use AI to build a real marketing engine?
That's why I decided to build a filter. I created the "AI in Marketing" Global Exam.
From a Problem to a Product
I didn't want to create another course that just talks about theories. I wanted to build a practical, no-fluff assessment that validates real-world skills. It's designed to be a benchmark for what actually matters:
Concepts & Journeys: Can you map AI tools to the actual customer journey?
Content & Personalization: Can you use AI to create better content, faster, without sounding like a robot?
Data & SEO: Can you use AI to analyze data and find growth opportunities that humans would miss?
Strategy & Ethics: Can you build a cohesive plan and use these powerful tools responsibly?
My goal was to create something that a bootstrapper could use to quickly identify their strengths and weaknesses. It’s a roadmap for what to focus on.
For me, it's been a great tool to structure my own thinking and for training my team. For other founders, I see it as a way to either level up your own marketing game or as a tool to help you vet your first marketing hire.
I'm sharing this with the IH community because you're the ones in the trenches who need practical solutions, not just more hype. I'd love for you to check it out and see how you stack up. All feedback is welcome—I'm still iterating on it.

What are your thoughts? How are you guys cutting through the AI noise to find what actually works for your projects?
Cheers,
Momenul
