As a new founder using No-Code solutions, what is your biggest need?

So let's get this straight, I'm a software developer and I don't personally use these No-Code solutions. But I understand that many of the founders and future founders don't know how to code and naturally look at these types of solutions to build product.

What are some of the obvious needs and shortcomings of these no-code solution in your opinion?

What I would like is something like bubble, but FAST. Also with option to integrate a mobile app with the web app

As previously said, the locking in part (with some companies) is an obvious shortcoming. Thunkable X steers clear of this business model and only charges $20/ month or $150/ year. With Thunkable X you can still download the source code (iOs and Android) and edit from there, though you wouldn't be able to utilize their platform again.

I can't think of any real shortcomings with it since I don't know what I don't know. My biggest challenge, having minimal background in coding is the logic in using the blocks. There's a bit of a learning curve with understanding concepts like initializing variables and setting up a function properly with high reusability but its significantly less than having to learn a language as well as the core concepts.

It's nice that they give you the option to download the code, that's been the number one thing I didn't like about most of these platforms.

Oh yes, I understand that there is a learning curve in using these platforms.
And they are all platform specific as well, so they are actually locking you in with their drag and drop builder too!
If you wanted to use a different platform, then you'd have to learn how to build those apps all over again.

Interesting that you mention that it's easier to learn something like Thunkable over learning a language. I wonder if someone ever did a real comparison?

I see they help you with publishing the apps too. How did you find that process? easy / difficult etc.?

Nocode ecommerce platform (not shopify/squarespace) managed via googlesheets/airtable backend and integrated with other services via Zapier/IFTTT/Integromat.

      Hey Jason, good idea.
This is an area I've been playing around in and will look at those integrations/automation systems.

Hey Jacques. Nice to e-meet you. I think it is every time depends on the real specific project. We have a huge mind-map of features we need potentially on our #nocode platform. But we'll see just what exactly the market will need first.
And I think the optimal solution is somewhere between nocode core and some external custom sub-project which can be integrated via API.
    Cheers, Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for the feedback.

I've seen many No-Code systems that try to lock you in to only using their system.

So I understand that ideally there should be an easy to use basic system, but with the ability to extend features that the system isn't capable of delivering itself.

      Cool

        Hi @jaakit
I see it is different for different platforms. If you are trying to lock users on your system you have fewer possibilities for integration. That is why we are going to be as more opened as possible.
