Instead of this 'An interactive e-book designed for kids who love paleontology' can you change it to something that says make your kids love the history of our planet or something like that. It will open up a larger audience for you.

The offset on the magnifying glass widget is too far off though... It's difficult to use.

I think the magnifying glass explorer could allow going behind the center text block.

But it still needs some work to become attractive to kids (and therefore, their parents).

I would advice getting a much more kids-friendly design (especially fonts and colors). It looks too plain, atm. Also, you could work a little on your copy, it doesn't seem to try to even sell any benefits; try to make people excited about it.
