I've been looking into why small agencies (marketing, web dev, SEO, lead gen) lose leads even when they have a CRM. The pattern seems consistent: a lead comes in, gets added to the CRM, someone is supposed to follow up, the team gets busy, and the lead goes cold before anyone replies.
This isn't really a lead generation problem. It's a follow-up execution problem.
I'm building a workflow using n8n plus some AI and API integrations that does the following:
Captures the lead as soon as it comes in
Qualifies it with AI
Scores it based on intent
Updates the CRM automatically
Sends a personalized first response
Follows up automatically if there's no reply
Notifies the team once a lead is ready
Keeps a human in the loop for actual decisions
Nothing exotic. No generic chatbot layer. Just automating the parts that keep falling through the cracks.
I'm looking for two agencies (anywhere in the world) willing to test this on their real process. Happy to look at your current setup first and tell you honestly if automation actually makes sense for it, since I know a lot of "AI automation" pitches right now are overhyped.
If you've dealt with this problem, or built something similar, I'd like to hear how you approached it.
