Ask IH: 150 signups, 0 paid ones - should I move on or keep building?

Hey there,

I recently launched Conntent on Product Hunt. It's a simple tool that lets you generate content for various social media platforms from any online article using just its link.

Over 150 users signed up, but nobody ended up paying. I got some good feedback though. Now, I am in this dilemma whether I should iterate upon the feedback and improve the product or move on to the next one.

Let me know your thoughts, please!

Hi my friend, i checked your website, i have some thoughts

    • it's showing one section, that is strange to new users, also .xyz domain doesn't seem genuine like .com or .io or .ai., I mean in terms of user's trust point of view

    • secondly, the embedded video don't able to clickable, so I am not able to check how your post content looks before I sign up for tool.

    • The thing is you need to build trust among users first, with good site, and show value first, like examples of content it generates, it's valuable or not, and kind of.

    • I'm also not able to see pricing without sign up, then it become difficult to check the authenticity.

    • maybe you are on beta mode, but if you want to get paid customers, these things I think prerequire, yeah, if you want to just get users try for free, then it doesn't matter.

    • I'm also not aware about what feedback they mentioned, so can't comment on that view.

But, before moving to another plan, you can dive deep into this first, and check the most important question and you can also survey your 150 users that, do they find value in that tool, if yes, what they liked and what they didn't like, and how can it be better, and you can even ask they, would they feel to make this chargeable to support further development, and if they think so, then what people think can be payable for this kind of tool?

based on these questions you can get a broad idea and then pivot future plans.

    hope it helps.
