I am using it on devswag.io and around 1% of impressions results in clicks, paying out at ~$1 per ad click. If you have good traffic, then it makes sense for you to try it out for a month.
I normally have from 120 to 300 the bad days are around 70 - 90...
Maybe not worth the fuss?
If you can get sponsorships and display that content instead, that'd be perfect. In the meantime, it doesn't hurt to add Carbon ads (very less effort) and add a "want to sponsor?" link on the website.

But, I don't have a clue or how all of that works.
I have also thoughts of hire the space out for a monthly fee.
The thing with carbon is that my side projects have budget 0β¬.
And with carbon I am supossed to buy them upfront...
So you can put up a link that says "Want to show your ad here? Contact us." and it can link to email or any other chat medium.
For Carbon, you don't need budget as you're not the one creating ads. You're the one renting out your (website) space to display ads so you don't need to pay. You'll get paid based on the clicks that are made from those ads. Hope that cleared things up a bit!
Ah I get it now. I was thinking so about carbon because once i was told I have to put 5k upfront....
Carbon looks great but the minimum spend of $5k just doesnβt make much sense in todayβs market where you can purchase ads for $1 elsewhere to test if they work first.
I believe @Michael_Andreuzza is talking about placing ads on his own site, not buying them. With a good amount of niche traffic, Carbon is usually a great way to monetize a design or development focused website!
