I use PocketCasts (https://www.pocketcasts.com) which is a solid cross-platform app (iOS, Androids, Web, Windows, Mac). The mobile apps are free, but the desktop apps require a Plus membership which is a $9.99/yr subscription. Caveat: I purchased my Plus membership a long time ago when it was a one-time purchase.
I haven't seen or used Winamp since 2009. I use web or my phone. At the time I used Miro (http://www.getmiro.com/) for video podcast, specifically the Apple keynote feed. I assume they do audio too now, but I can't think of another option
