I have this idea on which I want to work as my first project(Android App) but where to start? What should be my first step for both technical or non-technical aspects?
Be able to answer, with a bit of non-anecdotal evidence: Who are your customers? What problems are you solving with your idea? How are they solving their problem today, and why is yours a better solution? What will it take for them to switch?
@Ash11 I agree with this answer. Focus on the people who will be using your app, what they care about, how you will find them (or how they will find you), etc. Actually talk to some of them. Don't jump right into code if you can help it.
@csallen Is it safe to directly share an idea before any prototype.
Until you know what problem you're solving, how can you effectively put together a prototype for a solution?
If you can focus on the problem or value you're delivering, instead of the idea itself, you can effectively come up with any number of potential solutions to test out.
Damn good questions.
@andrew_bpco Thank you so much...your questions just opened like new realm for me to ponder 😊.
For technical aspects :
make a rough Sketch of whatever System you want to build, Focus on a core Feature/value prop etc
use the Sketch to evaluate technical options for a mvp : what is really needed. Strip away All the Clutter. You will need some experience to make a sophisticated guess about things like technical stack, backend, etc. In general: if you want it quick use what you know.
build the Simple Version, deploy soon, launch and get Feedback
use javelin, it will help you find the answers to validate your idea.
