Ask IH : How Bird App hack an IOS notification on IOS 12.2

Hi there, im interested to know how this app (Bird scooter) gets to puts its icon/logo in the IOS 12.2 notification bar when (this is key) i scan the QR code with the iOS camera. Here is a pic of the UX and here is the URI where it points to :

I have installed the Bird native appbut again, this notification is from native camera app.

My interpretaion :

• URL is a deep link, IOS knows i have the app so it shows the icon related to the app related to deep link.
  or
• Bird native app has access to camera app in IOS settings, and that import some sort of interpreter for when camera app reads a ride.bird.co link

Any other idea ?
