Ask IH: How do you generate stats for your RSS feeds?

I’m looking for a way to generate stats in my RSS feeds. Basic info like the total number of subscribers, but open rate and click through a would also be useful.

I’m only interested in aggregate info, nothing that specifically identifies a user.

I’ve read various articles online such as:

Measuring & Tracking RSS

Most of the solutions seem to require that you use a 3rd party’s domain for the feed.

Have you found any ways to generate usage stats while continuing to use your own domain for the RSS feed?
