Ask IH: How do you run on-site polls? Any Tips?

Hey everybody! Do any of you use on-site polls or surveys to gather user feedback? I'm looking for something on-site (similar to Intercom) to ask multiple choice or fill-in questions. I've seen Hotjar polls, but are there any other alternatives you prefer? Do you have any tips for crafting effective polls for your site?
