Ask IH: How long did your app take to be approved by Facebook?
I just finished all my backend/frontend work, and also just finished my business incorporation. But since my app depends 100% on Facebook API, I think maybe my launch isn't "comming soon".
I'm reading on Facebook Developer Group, Stackoverflow, etc, that in some cases it takes more than 5 months (!!!!) to get approval from Facebook, both app review and business verification.
How was your experience with this?
I recently had to go through this because I needed the friends_list permission. It took a couple days to get approval but they've made it a seriously involved process... I guess that's good for the end user, though.
Should be pretty instant... they usually just require that you have a Terms of Service & Privacy page and I believe they just recently made it so that you need SSL.
Hey Kevin, late to the party, but I'm going through the app review process right now and finding it pretty hellish (at 3 weeks now since the first submission). Did you go through the process? If so, how was your experience?
I've used the API for logins for 2 projects a few years ago and it was quick (basically automatic as far as I remember). But with all of the data breaches, abuses, and the scrutiny on them, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer now.
Yeah since cambridge analytica they've become super paranoid about a lot of things at the app review process, I know about people waiting more than 5 months for they apps to be approved...
instant because i don't need permission, only need facebook login :P
