Ask IH: Paid ads for Gumroad products?
Has anyone tried paid ads campaigns aimed directly at products on Gumroad? I have Gumroad integration on my website, and I have product pages (with a product description and full preview), but isn't it easier to drive traffic to Gumroad's page?
Is this not prohibited by the rules and does it even make sense? Does anyone have experience with this?
I’d test both. Your own page gives you more control, but sending traffic straight to Gumroad could be simpler. The real answer is which one gets better conversions.
Update: I didn't find an answer on the forums and on YouTube, so I just read the rules of the service very carefully and what can be sold on Gumroad. As a result - YES! You can make digital products (it was obvious) and drive traffic to them. Any, that is, paid ads companies too. Moreover, you can also create affiliate links for agencies or partners who will do it. That's very cool :)
