Ask IH: Status page for people
I have this idea to build a status page for people. Basically the same concept as statuspage.io but it shows your own status, what you're up to, etc. No messaging, only one latest status update, etc.
The mainstream media is not for me but I'd like a page where I can just write down my latest update (the stuff I'm working on, what's new or some other stuff) and where people can find my Github/Gitlab profile, see what company I'm working at etc.
My questions, does it make sense and/or is there something similar already?

It sounds that this would be a mixture of twitter and facebook.. Maybe instead creating a completely new product try merging the two above?
Would I be correct if I think of it as Snapchat, but for text (only?)? I say this in context of of keeping only the latest status visible or keeping statuses visible for only a set duration.
I like (and knew about) /now but I was more thinking of a service where you can create such a page instead of having to have your own site. I don't want a Facebook, Twitter or whatever account but a page with my details and a now/status section. Kinda like the user page of getfaces.com but more geared towards a personal page instead of a community

Yes but I don't want all the other stuff that comes with having a Facebook account
