I have an unpopular opinion about this.

If you are not an SEO specialist and are short on time and money I would stick with the standard Google Keyword Planner.

It won’t give you a precise number, but since you should focus more on topics rather than keywords (especially after the Hummingbird update) that approximate range will be more then sufficient.

Ahrefs and KWFinder.

Ahrefs is significantly better than KWFinder, but KWFinder wins for the price.

I'd get the trial version or a month of Ahrefs and just crunch all your work in that time frame.

I can't agree more with all the tools that were suggested above - love Semrush and use it on a daily basis (paid plan). Would like to add https://answerthepublic.com/ - helps you to get content ideas based on the questions people ask (I actually use it to come up with ideas for subtitles) and there's a brilliant technique how to find the most popular questions on Quora

• go to Quora Ads Manager
• create a new campaign (no worries, you will not spend a penny)
• fill in the campaign name (Test1), choose campaign goal (Awareness)
• set a budget (idk, 10 bucks)
• press the Continue button and continue on the Ad Set tab
• in Primary targeting section choose Question targeting
• can see the pop-up Add question? If yes put your keyword(s) there (separated with comma) and press Continue. You'll see the list of questions with these keywords and the number of weekly views (aka popularity)
• copy the most interesting questions into your spreadsheet
• that's it, you're brilliant ;)
