Any advice/guides on how to find your first customers for a B2B SaaS startup?
Some of the things we are trying:
Our target companies:
- Multibrands companies
- e-commerce and dropshipping business
- Digital Marketing agencies
- Growth and analytics teams
(Senior marketing roles and founders)
Our product:
- Trend Discovery tool (Niche and fast-growing topics, products, and companies)
- Market Intelligence and Customers Insights (understand better your market, get competitive advantages and get to know who are your customers)
- Weekly newsletter
What other strategies do you recommend?
Hey @HectorVidal
Noticed in your post you mentioned your target customers…(Multibrands companies e-commerce and dropshipping business Digital Marketing agencies Growth and analytics teams (Senior marketing roles and founders)) Some of these are quite varied (which is great) but I really feel that if you picked a subset of this and picked a strong use case you should be able to resonate with people more and increase the likelihood that they will buy.
It’s by no means shutting out the chances of the other target companies but it’s just makes a more compelling reason for them to convert.
In terms of strategies linked to above I would think about making content thats almost like guides for your target audience about the journey of using your product and the outcomes possible by discovering a new niche or using your market insights. - don’t worry about repeating yourself either if it the same piece of content but with a different target company in mind.
Thank you so much for your advice Russell, we just started to generate content a couple of weeks ago and we have seen an x10 increase in traffic after sharing such content in multiples sites/communites.
Regarding the target audience, I completely agree with your point. We are working on it.
Cheers!
