ASK IH: Would a marketplace for building solutions/products work?
Platforms like Fiverr represent one side of the market where people build & offer solutions/products after identifying a problem. I am wondering if a marketplace coming from the demand side, where users post their specific problems/pain points would work.
These problems could be
- product specific
- manual tasks that need automation
- pain points that you want a solution for
The built solutions could be one off services for the customer or could be developed into a complete SaaS product based on demand.
Posters for the same could indicate if they are willing to pay for the solution, to incentivize people to build it.
Let me know your thoughts.
I believe fiver actually lets you do this as well. Also checkout upwork , freelancer , whom all do what I think you said you wanted to build
Wasn't sure Fiverr had this feature. Turns out someone has already built what I had in mind - www.oppslist.com. I wasn't aware of this site till someone posted it on IH yesterday :)
Your proposition sounds like a Freelance marketplace = business owner post requirement and estimated budget, then freelancer bid on the project.
The format I had i mind was slightly different. I wanted it to be like a post where people discuss the idea and then some people offer to build a solution. Funny part is someone posted a link to https://www.oppslist.com/ on IH yesterday which is exactly what I had in mind.
