I'm rethinking one of my older ideas for a "Dynamic Article Engine" that can swap out content modules based on user input, settings and request data. tldr; dynamic content sections based on the user reading the article.
Take that you're reading an article on the platform. While logged out I know some basic information about you from the request data (Geo, browser, etc), if you're logged in I know a bit more (name, etc).
A few examples the author could use while writing the article:
- address you by name throughout the article
- show you specific content based on your data-points (country specific, browser specific, etc)
- Could ask a question mid-article that stores the answer on the users profile and shows the appropriate content module. E.g.: "Do you run a MacOS or Windows?"
Would love your input and feedback on this idea. Is this something you guys would use? Do you think it's violating user privacy or a bit creepy?

Ya, I feel it's a little creepy and doesn't provide much value.
All major blogging posts recommend users what they could be possibly interested in based on Geo-coordinates and their reading history. Are you planning to differentiate it further?

I mean, Blog recommendation systems primarily work on topic clusters & expressed interest right? So people you follow and articles you read most in a certain cluster indicate that you're interested in that specific topic/author.
I was thinking more about the personalization aspect of the article itself. Same article but adjusted for the user reading it. Still a very rough idea.
