Hi IH community,
I built a web shortcut tool Beamoo and made it available to public this week. I see some traffic to my website but there are 0 sign ups. So I would love to hear some honest feedback on the landing page, the installation instruction, and also about the tool itself.
Any feedback is appreciated!
I don't understand what the product is about. I can jump quickly enough to any URL using Chrome address bar.
Thank you for letting me know. It seems I didn't explain the product better. The way I see its value is on two fold. One is to saving couple keystroke when you need to navigate to different webpage to get what you need. Like go to amazon first then search for something, and now you can just do
amz <thing>.Second is in the case one have too many bookmarks, it's hard to find the one across folders, and instead a meaningful keyword would "beam" you to the link directly.
I'll work on explaining this better. Appreciate your feedback.
You should work on the messaging
It isn't clear that you personally define your own shortcuts.... where, how?, what are the options? why would I want to?...
Thank you very much for this feedback. Now I realize that. People probably don't see the value the way I explain it at the moment. Appreciate it!
Beamoo looks great and I can definitely see the value in this. I would say maybe try explaining it better on the landing page so the value is clear on the first glance.
Also, when you say "made it available to the public" - have you posted it anywhere other than Indiehackers? Here's a free list of sites you could post Beamoo on to get early traction and feedback.
Appreciate it! Now I feel more confident to work further on this project. And thank you for the free list of sites to post, I had one as well. I made it public accessible and sent some friends to check it out, Indiehackers is the first place I post it!
