Audio content distribution to (paid) subscribers

For all indie creators and publishers,

A platform allowing you to distribute your audio content to your (paid) subscribers without additional apps or tech infrastructure

I've be prototyping a platform that would make it easy for individual publishers creating audio content to distribute the content to users across voice assistants. The entire experience would be voice enabled and the content would be available to users on all devices supporting google assistant (most smart phones, google home, next devices, smart speakers like sonos etc)

For publishers:

  1. No need to maintain separate infrastructure to make the content available to their users
  2. Get discovered by users looking for audio content on smart speakers.
  3. Create a subscriber base and earn revenue for their content.

For users:

  1. Get access to quality content directly on their smart speakers
  2. One place to manage their subscriptions from different independent creators
  3. Discover new creators and content

I built a basic MVP and the landing page -> https://speakhub.io

Background on how I came up to this problem/solution:

I released a voice app for smart speakers that plays audiobooks from the librivox project.
It was quite well received since users lacked a way to natively listen audio content on their smart speakers (except some news and spotify). I quickly reached >1000 weekly users (all organic)
I also got feedback from users who wanted to extend the use and listen to content beyond what was on librivox. Often that content was from a independent website producing audiobooks or short stories.
