Acryl - valuable audiobooks for kids
Books that help in raising and teaching your children.

Hello folks, Today I'm releasing Acryl - an app to turn your kids paper books into audiobooks.
How it works?
Really cool! This reminds me of Oscar Stories, an app for generating new stories: (not allowed to post links…)
How did you market your app? Where did you find parents, and what kind of feedback did they give you before they purchased?
One idea that's kind of cool and creepy at the same time would be to train the AI to use the child's parents' voices.
Haha :D I don't think it's that creepy. Might be great to have parent's voices used by the narrator.
I obviously don't want people to think this could in any way replace reading in-person to the kid. This is 100% unique, irreplacable experience.
Great

The idea is cool and useful. Can you share the tech that you use in detect the book?
Users take photos of the text so I don't really detect what book it is.
I just recognize text in the pictures, do some OCR cleanup and then use GPT to recognize who says what. And finally, ElevenLabs to turn text into audio.
That's a cool idea! I like the multiple character voicing, it sounds much more natural than a typical TTS.
What languages does it support?
The site is a bit too minimalistic, e.g. it doesn't say anything about pricing.
Thanks for the feedback!
Indeed, multi-voice sounds great - especially for children books.
Supported languages - it supports ~20 languages! :)
You're right that I need to add info about that on the website + include pricing. Will do!
