Australians, Coronavirus - and a call to action to protect our eateries and cafes

I am a dev looking to collaborate with engineers, product and people with generalist talents. The mission is help cafes, pubs and eateries in Australia make it through the economic crisis thanks to the pandemic.

Most of us spend a few bucks every week on coffees, food at restaurants, takeaway etc. I would like to continue that spending habit even if we don't get to go to the establishment. Like buymeacoffee.com for the places we brunch at.

Rather than buy stuff from them, we simply spend what we normally would have, and they can use that to tide over these dark times. Without this, many of the places we love and have used to support our lifestyles will go out of business. That means when we make it through to the other side of the pandemic, and the recession, we wont have the places we love anymore. We must protect what we love about our lives and our communities, and this is one small way.

I've got experience building front end and working extensively with the stripe APIs. The idea is to let people choose the venue they want to support (using a text input field) and then choosing a donation amount and paying via credit card. Those funds are held in Stripe, with data to identify who its from, and who the intended recipient is.

THE BIG PROBLEM: how do we safely and cheaply distribute the funds to the intended recipient...how do we establish the recipient is truly the owner or manager of the intended recipient?

I'm looking for collaborators, ideally based in Melbourne or Australia generally, on this. I think can make an astounding impact with 3-5 people contributing 5-10 hours a week.
