Authenticate identity online
I'm making a small survey, I'm very curious to see if you have solutions for online identity verification in your home country, and how adopted the solution is in the public.
The following questions:
- Your country.
- Possible service for online identity authentication.
- How adopted the solution is.
In Sweden we have something called BankID (https://www.bankid.com/en/). It's issued to citizen through our banks and is seen as secure enough to verify logins connected to your personal identification number, and even for signing contracts and agreements online. We use this solution for all kinds of stuff, login to banks, applying for loans, sending applications to public authorities and much more.
In Sweden 97,5% of the citizen between 21 and 50 years old have BankID.
There is so many possibilities to build online services around this authentication method, and I'm very curious to know how it is in other countries. Maybe it gives ideas to you indie hackers. 🙂
