Authentication, identity management, security

Hi All,

I've been in the authentication, identity management and security space for the majority of my 20-year software development and products career. Recently I've been doing some research on what folks are using to solve the numerous issues this, usually quite challenging; problem space throws up.

I assume that some sort of DB backed, local code option, either developed in house or based on an off the shelf library reigns supreme. For folks in this situation, what are you worried about? How do you know the relevant data is properly secured? What is simply just to hard to make work, right? Would you consider moving to a SaaS provider to take these issues off your plate?

If you've already got an Okta, Auth0, Cognito, Firebase or other such solution, how is it? What are the pain points? Is the price per user/month/year "value for money"? If not, what would be?.

Appreciate your time on this. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you're struggling with SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect or anything authentication/identity related, very happy to have a chat.

I'd be interested in chatting about this!

I'm currently using the Ory stack (https://www.ory.sh) and I'm pretty happy with it, especially that I get to keep everything on my end.

      Thanks, I'll check that out.

How have you found it as an operator?

Bradley, did you end up working on anything related to that?
