Hey Indie Hackers, I’m building One Horizon.
One Horizon helps engineering teams turn everyday work into clear, useful insights without extra effort. No new habits to learn, no manual reporting, and no context switching.
The core idea is simple: your team already creates valuable signals in tools like GitHub, Slack, Google Calendar, and Jira/Linear. One Horizon connects to those tools and more, understands what actually happened, and turns it into summaries & taxonomy that are easy to scan and act on. Progress, blockers, trends, and patterns that usually get lost across tabs become visible by default.
Why I’m building this
Most teams struggle with visibility. Engineers do the work but dislike writing updates. Leads need clarity but end up piecing it together themselves. The result is either too much noise or not enough signal. I believe insights should be a natural output of work, not an extra task.
What One Horizon does today
Connects to the tools teams already use
Interprets activity across code, communication, and planning
Produces concise updates and higher level insights automatically
Creates clarity without micromanagement or surveillance vibes
Who it’s for
Engineering teams who value focus, trust, and momentum, and want better visibility without adding process overhead.
Current status
Early stage and being built in close collaboration with a small group of teams. Feedback is actively shaping the product and its direction.
I’m building this in the open. If you’ve dealt with poor visibility, reporting fatigue, or scattered context, I’d love to hear how you handle it today and what you wish worked better.
Congratulations on your launch. It looks impressive! What channels are you exploring to attract early users?
Thank you Ajayi! So far LinkedIn and attending network events like Web Summit & Slush have been most successful. But also marketplaces, so we're already in the Google Meet & Linear marketplaces and close to being published in those of GitHub & Slack for example.
That’s a strong combination, particularly when it comes to marketplaces, as they often attract higher-intent users early on. Events are also valuable for building connections, even though they can be more challenging to scale.
One channel that pairs effectively with marketplaces is Reddit. It allows you to validate your positioning and use cases within communities that already discuss tools like GitHub, Slack, and Linear. Engaging in these discussions can provide you with honest feedback that you might not receive elsewhere.
If you're interested, I would be happy to share how I've seen founders successfully use Reddit alongside marketplaces to gain early users and insights without it coming across as promotional.
