This post is a response to post I'm dying to find an idea to pursue by mask. All idea from this post is from things I've read online or in books. I welcome all arguments and advices!
After I read all replies, I thought I have to share my experience too. I am right before starting my journey and I had the same problem for days. Not knowing how to start. I need an idea, right?
I looked for a solution to solve this issue. The essential thing that all writings taught me was: start something and help someone. That is it. Start and help.
I collected all starting related writings I could find. Choose and do one.
Read post about it: Looking to start a business? 6 reasons why you should begin by teaching by joshdance.
A video by MJ DeMarco, the writer of The Millionaire Fastlane: Start by freelancing and after create a specialized unit.
Do you have small side projects that never made a dollar, but never tended to do that? It may be worth it to try to sell it to someone.
Make a list about the ones that interest you or you find them valuable. It can be any kinds of services and products.
Where to get ideas from?
Look at reviews about the businesses at G2 or Capterra.
Next step? One of the followings:
Read a post about it: The 15+ fastest products to build by James Fleischmann.
Learn about it from The Micro SaaS Handbook by Rick Blyth which is completely free.
Read a post about it: Brainstorm problems by Courtland Allen.
This idea is from Paul Graham's essays: How to Get Startup Ideas, How to Do Great Work.
The advice is practical and actionable, and it could be a valuable resource for anyone who is thinking about starting their own business.
