AWS and godaddy VPS. Whats more affordable

Hello,
I have been hosting my apps and sites on Godaddy VPS servers. I however want to shift to something that is cheaper.
Been spending $50 per month on godaddy. Now am looking for an alternative solution. Is AWS more affordable ?
