Over the last year or so, I've really been getting into Amazon Web Services and the entire micro-services architecture. I really enjoy tools like the serverless framework and arc.codes.
However when it comes to projects, I find myself constantly fighting AWS cognito for example to setup auth/iam permissions/user pools/identity pools. When it comes to firebase auth, it just seems so much more intuitive and useful.
All the tools are super great to provisioning services and settings for AWS, but the web GUI for firebase just seems so dead simple to set things up, it seems like almost a wash.
I'm a big advocate for using the best tool for the job, but am I missing something? There just seems like there are infinity more tutorials out there for AWS, but Firebase just seems so much more polished.
Maybe its granularity or service level agreements that make AWS more attractive to some. Would love to discuss both options more and see how all of us are using these tools and services.
