B2B SaaS and death of primary user

Hey everyone,

A few things came together recently. First, I read an article "As More Workers Go Solo, the Software Stack Is the New Firm" (link, bottom) from a16z on SaaS enabling more solo businesses.

Then I was researching the UK regulation of lending businesses, and key-person risk. And then during a user research interview I discovered that my interviewee had no provision for if they were severely incapacitated or died, and how critical processes that impact their customers could get done.

Are people thinking about this in their products? I imagine in the next decade, as more businesses will be just one person, whether apps could use a business continuity account and email address that can be contacted if the main account goes silent for a while.

Thanks,
Luke
